Wehype to expand its influencer marketing services to mobile gaming
Founded by Robin Åström and brothers Gustaf and Emil Smith in 2016, Wehype announces its plans to partner with Appsflyer and Adjust. Wehype intends to support its expansion by integrating the mobile analytics capabilities of these companies.
Wehype, an influencer marketing agency and platform that connects game publishers with the international gaming community, today announces that it is expanding its state-of-the-art influencer marketing services to serve the rapidly growing mobile game industry. Wehype is partnering and integrating with leading mobile analytics companies to support this expansion.
In preparation for the expansion into the mobile gaming influencer industry, Wehype has already worked on partnerships with mobile publishers from a wide range of verticals and categories. These range from open beta launches of new MMORPG titles, cross-platform games, and some of the highest-grossing titles in the iOS and Android app stores, among others, gaining expertise across the mobile industry.
It has built massive data sets to enable mobile game publishers to analyze the creators’ performance over time. This data is collected from a network of more than 3,200 creators and 10,000 sponsors, also integrated with YouTube and Twitch. Through this setup, Wehype can achieve the best-performing creator and game combinations, understand audiences, and deliver scalable campaigns to gamers worldwide.
The motivation behind Wehype’s expansion into the mobile game industry appears to be its estimated volume of $116 billion in 2022. With the popularity of live-streaming and influencer marketing, the creator economy has a considerable share in this amount. In 2021, fans live-streamed more than 653 million hours of gaming content weekly, with a year-over-year increase of 21%.
Wehype CEO and Co-Founder said:
“It couldn’t be a more exciting time to be expanding our services into mobile gaming. In a post-IDFA era, mobile publishers have to find new channels to reach their audiences, and working with creators is an extremely effective way not only to drive installs but also to support player retention.”
His comment on the newly formed partnership is:
“Working with third-party mobile analytics companies AppsFlyer and Adjust will enable us to transform influencer marketing into a performance-optimized channel. Compared to more traditional UA channels, creators allow game publishers to reach their players in a more authentic way which not only drives great Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) when done right but also leads to an uplift in brand awareness.”
Wehype combines its data expertise with traditional mobile marketing to provide meaningful revenue streams to gaming creators worldwide, matching each mobile game to its ideal niche target audience and tracking this success over time.
